The primary responsibility of the Colorist is color assessment, including Lab Dip and First Bulk Dye lot review, maintaining color standard upload and update, communicating with suppliers, Quality Assurance and sourcing team to provide coordination as well as technical support on color.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review lab dips, sales samples, 1st bulk, trims and subsequent dye lots (if needed) in
light box in daily basis..
2. Ensure the consistency of all lab dips, sales samples, 1st bulk, subsequent bulk lots
and trims.
3. Communicate with suppliers and sourcing team to provide coordination.
4. Operate Spectrophotometer and measure subsequent bulk lots as a support to QA
teams. Subsequent dye lot assessment is a responsibility of QA teams.
5. Compare visual judgment against spectral data, able to interpret data from
Spectrophotometer as supplementary tools.
6. In charge of color standard upload and update.
7. Keep track of color standard update and approval status of lab dip with US Color
Team.
8. Maintain filing and color standard database system.
9. Conduct eye test using Munsell 100 hue test for new colorist, QA and related
merchandisers.
10. Ensure proper use of Color Approval process on Info center. Train suppliers in the use
of it.

Requisitos

  • University Degree
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) in both written and oral communications
  • University studies in related business stream.
  • Training in dyeing mil.
  • Knowledge of color Physic, fabric properties, dyeing and finishing processes.
  • Familiar with Spectrophotometer, formal training / obtain certificate from Data color or Gretag
  • Macbeth (X-rite) is an advantage.
  • Having good color vision and sense, attain standard level in Farnsworth – Munsell 100 – Hue Test is an advantage
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
