This position is responsible for supporting the commercial growth of the organization by managing inbound sales opportunities, developing existing accounts, and generating new business through proactive outreach. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers during the sales process, coordinating closely with the Pricing and Operations teams to deliver timely, competitive, and customer-focused logistics solutions. Unlike a field sales role, the Inside Sales Representative primarily conducts commercial activities remotely through phone calls, email, virtual meetings, and CRM management while ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound sales inquiries and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and develop new prospects through outbound calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and other digital channels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to maximize account growth and retention.
  • Understand customers' logistics and supply chain requirements to recommend appropriate transportation and logistics solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Pricing Department to prepare competitive quotations for:
    • Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL)
    • Air Freight
    • Ground Transportation
    • Customs Brokerage
    • Warehousing and Distribution
    • Value-Added Logistics Services
  • Present proposals, follow up on quotations, and negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines.
  • Maintain continuous communication with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Update and manage all customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM system.
  • Coordinate with Operations to ensure a smooth transition once business has been awarded.
  • Follow up on inactive accounts and identify opportunities to recover lost business.
  • Collaborate with the Outside Sales team by supporting strategic accounts and commercial initiatives.
  • Stay informed about market trends, carrier capacity, freight rates, and competitor activities.
  • Meet monthly sales, activity, and customer engagement targets.

Requisitos

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced studies in Business Administration, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service, Account Management, or Sales Support.
  • Previous experience within Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Shipping Lines, Logistics Providers, Customs Brokerage, or Transportation companies is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge

  • Freight Forwarding operations.

  • Import and Export processes.
  • Incoterms 2020.
  • Sales pipeline management.
  • CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, or similar).
