JOB DESCRIPTION
HOSPITALITY SUB- MANAGER


The primary role is to oversee and coordinate the hotel's daily operations to ensure their effective execution. The position involves direct collaboration with general management and other departments, including reception, housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverages, among others, to ensure all aspects of hotel operations run smoothly. The role includes guiding, training, evaluating, and supervising staff and managing hotel operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Attend to and follow up on all guest and client needs (complaints, feedback, requests, etc.).
  2. Supervise the quality of services and customer satisfaction.
  3. Promote revenue through sales strategies to maximize profitability in operational departments (F&B, Spa, Reception).
  4. Monitor and control department costs and expenses, implementing strategies for their reduction.
  5. Review the operations budget and manage inventories.
  6. Verify the presentation and condition of products for sale at the hotel’s outlets.
  7. Seek innovation in products and services, adapting to new market trends.
  8. Train and oversee the training of staff in reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B to meet service standards.
  9. Update operational manuals annually for the department.
  10. Ensure staff comply with the company’s standards of conduct, uniforms, and hygiene.
  11. Supervise reception, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B personnel to ensure all guests, clients, and visitors receive personalized and prompt service according to established standards.
  12. Review and monitor departmental budgets monthly, establishing action plans to achieve them.
  13. Implement safety procedures and ensure the hotel complies with regulations and standards.
  14. Follow up on audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  15. Collaborate with general management in the hotel’s strategic planning.
  16. Perform general manager duties in their absence (vacations, days off, Manager on Duty, etc.).
  17. Participate in the preparation of:
    a. Departmental Budget
    b. Immediate Action Plans
    c. Expense Control Plans
  18. Comply with all functional or horizontal mobility orders issued by the employer, compatible with the role, skills, preparation, and dexterity.


Requisitos

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in the hotel industry.
  • University degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in F&B, Quality, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reception departments.
  • Advanced Spanish and English (mandatory).
  • Proven managerial capabilities, including initiative, leadership, problem-solving, prioritization, empowerment, staff training and development, results orientation, and goal setting.
