We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to support a Controller in a dynamic operational and financial environment. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in inventory and operations accounting, complemented by analytical capabilities to support financial decision-making.

Operational Accounting

  • Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and timely.
  • Handle inventory accounting and ensure proper recognition of inventory costs aligned with supplier contracts, market conditions, and performance metrics.
  • Monitor and report on operational costs of barges (OPEX).
  • Co-lead monthly and annual financial closings.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation and maintenance of accounts for reporting and review.
  • Uphold accounting controls by adhering to internal policies and procedures.

Financial Analysis

  • Support financial planning and analysis activities related to project performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into cost drivers and profitability.
  • Assist in preparing reports and dashboards for management review.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of experience in accounting roles within multinational companies.
  • Proven experience in inventory and operations accounting.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English and Spanish.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.
  • Driven and proactive with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Effective communicator across diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Deadline-oriented and capable of handling time-sensitive tasks.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
