We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to support a Controller in a dynamic operational and financial environment. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in inventory and operations accounting, complemented by analytical capabilities to support financial decision-making.
Operational Accounting
- Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and timely.
- Handle inventory accounting and ensure proper recognition of inventory costs aligned with supplier contracts, market conditions, and performance metrics.
- Monitor and report on operational costs of barges (OPEX).
- Co-lead monthly and annual financial closings.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure monthly reconciliation and maintenance of accounts for reporting and review.
- Uphold accounting controls by adhering to internal policies and procedures.
Financial Analysis
- Support financial planning and analysis activities related to project performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into cost drivers and profitability.
- Assist in preparing reports and dashboards for management review.
Requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting roles within multinational companies.
- Proven experience in inventory and operations accounting.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Fluent in written and verbal English and Spanish.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Highly motivated and eager to learn.
- Driven and proactive with a strong sense of ownership.
- Effective communicator across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Deadline-oriented and capable of handling time-sensitive tasks.
