Lead and optimize the organization’s end-to-end operations, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and scalable execution of our microfinance strategy. The COO will oversee day-to-day operations while driving process efficiency, risk management, and governance across the business.

Main Responsibilities:
- Loan Operations: Oversee and actively manage the end-to-end loan process, from application and disbursement to repayment and collections.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure day-to-day compliance with AML/KYC, data protection, and all applicable regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Policies & Procedures: Implement, maintain, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and internal guidelines.
- Operational Risk: Identify, monitor, and mitigate operational and compliance risks through practical controls and corrective actions.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate operational records, dashboards, and reports to support management, audits, and regulators.
- Customer Experience: Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service by resolving operational issues and improving service processes.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Work hands-on with Credit, Finance, Risk, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requisitos

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Operations, or similar) strongly preferred.
- Compliance Officer Certification

Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services, microfinance, banking, or a closely related regulated industry.
- Proven track record leading enterprise-level operations, including process optimization, risk management, and compliance.
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role (COO, Head of Operations, Operations Director, or equivalent).

Knowledge
- Deep understanding of microfinance operations, credit processes, and portfolio management.
- Strong command of regulatory, compliance, and governance frameworks applicable to financial institutions.
- Solid knowledge of operational risk, internal controls, and audit readiness.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal - Non-negotiable).
