Preparation of reports established by the regulatory body, either electronically (ATOMO), and with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual frequency, and coordination with the Senior persons of the team for submission to the SBP in the ITBank systems.
Prepare and send the weekly Liquidity ATOMO in the format and within the established term to the Superintendence of Banks of Panama, in accordance with the established schedule.
In case of requirement, prepare quarterly and annual financial statements notes assigned for the review of the Accounting Manager, consolidating all necessary disclosures to present in accordance with IFRs and to comply with the prudential rules of the Superintendency of Banks of Panama.
For Related Parties transactions on a monthly basis, input and archive all supports of the related parties’ transactions registered during the months in the shared folder assigned for this purpose.
Preparation of the Tax Reports on a monthly or other basis (ITBMs, Purchase Report, Sales Report, Annex of the Tax Declarations, and others) as assigned or required by the DGI.
Support in the attention and information required by internal auditors, external auditors, the regulatory entity, or any other entity.
Support to the Senior Officer in administering the filing of the Department’s documents.
Update the guidance of the assigned tasks to develop and detail them in accordance with requirements.
Backup of the Accounting Analyst in the BOCS–Check Clearing Approver and WBIFN Approver.
BPS – Wage input.
Perform Local Clearing ACH.
Preparation of LCR Daily Liquidity Report, when required.
Process BOCS–Remittance.
Perform GUPP–Remittance.
Review IARS–Query.
Perform WBIFN input.
Review Sanction List (Anti-Money Laundering).
Other functions that could be assigned by the Accounting Senior Manager and/or Head of the Department.
Required ProfileEducation
High School Degree in Areas of Commerce preferable, or other specialization.
University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance is not required but desirable (possible a person that studies and works).
Other certifications related to accounting, finance, and banking industry.
Experience
2–5 years in Accounting or Financial Related Areas.
Appreciable experience in Banks in Panama and knowledge of Superintendency of Banks of Panama rules and reporting.
At least 2–3 years of experience in accounting and operations field.
Experience in banking industry or other related areas.
Knowledge in accounting information technology.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow instructions with good disposition, and willingness to learn continuously.
